Zack Rodkey “ZDRAG”, 29, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
Born on Wednesday, August 31, 1988 in Gettysburg, he was the son of Rebecca Raver and step-son of Dana Huff, both of Hanover. A 2006 graduate of South Western High School, Zack was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, a member of the Hanover Dart League, and a member of the McSherrystown Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #720. He enjoyed DJing at local places around town, singing karaoke, bowling, and playing cards and video games with his friends. Zack was a loved son, terrific brother, and a wonderful father. He fiercely loved his little girls more than anything in the world and he always lived his life to the fullest.
In addition to his mother and step-father, survivors include his wife, Jessica Hooper; two beautiful daughters, Hailey and Zoey Rodkey, all of Hanover; two brothers, Darren Grimes and his significant other, Alisha Ellison, of Spring Grove and Russell Raver of Hanover; a step-sister, Amanda Altland and her husband, Scott Altland II, of Thomasville; maternal grandparents Paul Rodkey Jr. and Phyllis Rodkey of Union Bridge, MD; his best friends, Jed Warner of Hanover, Brad Wineholt of Houston, TX, and Jason Slagle and his wife, Chelsey, of Hanover; and many more cousins and friends that made a significant impact on Zack throughout his life.
A funeral will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Hanover First Church of God, 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover with Pastor Luke Ball officiating. The family will receive friends for a viewing starting at 12pm until time of service on Saturday at the church.
