William R. "Bill" Lisek
William R. “Bill” Lisek, Jr., 80, of New Oxford and formerly of Baltimore, MD, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, April 7, 2023 at UPMC Hanover.
Born on Friday, October 2, 1942 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William R. Lisek, Sr. and Evelyn M. Burmeister Lisek. Bill proudly served his country in the National Guard and later retired from USF&G Insurance Company after more than 20 years of service. He enjoyed collecting stamps and books, among other things, and also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and following sports of any kind.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Shirley A. Thomas Lisek; a sister, Eileen Smith and her husband, George; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Susan Lisek.
A private service will be held.
