Wilfert J. Dubs, 90, beloved husband of Macleta Reichert Dubs, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Hanover Hospital.
Born on Friday, November 14, 1924 in Brodbecks, York County, he was a son of the late Jacob F. and Mary P. Bankert Dubs. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Roy Dubs; and two sisters, Mamie Stambaugh and Eva Baugher.
Mr. Dubs was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where he had belonged to the Layman Sunday School Class. He was a former employee of Bowman’s Cleaners and retired after 22 years of service from Whisler’s Cleaners where he was a presser.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 64 years are two sons, Larry E. Dubs and his wife, Deborah, and Terry L. Dubs and his wife Debra all of Hanover; a brother, Raymond Dubs of Spring Grove; two grandchildren Katelyn Dubs and Kendall Dubs and her fiancé, Josh Dinterman; two step-grandchildren, Teresa Loveless and her husband, James, and Heather Nicholson and her husband, Charles; one great-grandchild, Camdyn Dinterman; seven step-great-grandchildren, Brittany and Nikki Eyler, Jordan and Jenna Matthews, Jeremiah and Abigail Eyler, Sarah Loveless and Hannah Nicholson and one step-great-great-grandchild, Cataleya Rodriguez.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
