Services: A service to remember and celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover.
Visitation: Viewing will be Tuesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover.
Welma Pegg Naomi Wagaman, 86, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 5:40 A.M. Saturday morning, April 14, 2007 at Hanover Hall. She was the wife of the late Richard W. Wagaman, Sr. Born in York on September 25, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Elmer E. and Edna M. Zartman Leppo. Pegg graduated from William Penn High School with the class of 1937. During World War II, she did her part for the war effort by writing and singing songs then putting them on 45's and sending them to the troops at home and abroad. She was so well thought of, that she was asked to travel with Bob Hope and the USO as a member of a singing and dancing group that toured the U.S. entertaining troops in the 1940's. She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church and the Adams County Blind Association. Pegg will be sadly missed by her children Lynda Racer, Peggy Beard both of Hanover, Robin Barton of York, Susie Baublitz of Abbottstown, Gary Hibner of Roseville, MI, Nancy Hill of DesMoines, IA, Richie Wagaman of Nashville, TN, also 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son Robert E. Wagaman and a daughter Barbara Hibner who have greeted her in heaven. A service to remember and celebrate her life will be hel00 a.m. Wednesday morning at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Viewing will be Tuesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Rev. Kevin D. Orewiler will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hanover Hall, 267 Frederick St., Hanover, PA 17331 or the VNA, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331. Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons Stan Harbold, Bob Slonaker, Jimmy Barton, Sr., Gary Wagaman, Craig Wagaman, Danny Faulk and Randy Wagaman.
