Vivian Raubenstine Swam

Vivian Raubenstine Wisensale Swam, 89, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Homewood at Plum Creek.

Born on Sunday, October 16, 1927 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Minnie Hilbert Raubenstine. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Wisensale, who died May 31, 1971; her second husband, Jere Swam, who died January 19, 2013; and a sister, Martha Stine.

A 1945 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Mrs. Swam retired in 1978 from Princess Cleaners after 20 years of service. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ for 69 years.

Survivors include three children, Ken Wisensale of Cape Coral, FL, Fay Emlet of Hanover, and Vicki Wertz and her husband, Jim, of Spring Grove; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grand children; two great-great-grand children; and three brothers, Donald, Clair, and Richard Raubenstine.

A funeral will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Robin S. Keating officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
