Victoria Kaye “Miss Vick” Reay, 65, of Hanover, died peacefully Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Hanover Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born on February 7, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Jerome A. and Betty Jane Furhman Noel, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reay, Sr.; a son, Robert Reay, Jr.; a daughter, Laurie Reay; and a sister, Jerry Lynn Noel Lerew.
Mrs. Reay was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, the Hanover Home Association, the AmVets Post #22, the Hanover Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 1406, and was also a life member of the Hanover Moose Lodge # 227. She enjoyed traveling and loved her trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas and Russia. She was a collector of art, crystal eggs, angels, and theatre masks.
Survivors include her three brothers, Glenn Fuhrman and his wife, Yvonne, Jerome Noel and his wife, Barbara, and Bruce Noel and his wife, Jeannette, all of Hanover; four sisters, Kathryn Garland and her husband, Doug, of Glenville, Susan Stambaugh and her husband, James, and Audrey Hair, all of Hanover, and Cindy Null of Biglerville; her sister-in-law, Joyce Norman of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church by The Rev. John A. Szada, Jr. Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery. The viewing will be 6 to 8 pm Monday evening at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with a prayer service being held at 8 pm.
