Services: A Funeral Mass to remember and celebrate her life will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Rd., Hanover, PA 17331.
Visitation: Viewing will be at the church Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Valerie A. Gossage, 69, of Hanover, PA, formerly of Maryland, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday morning, August 30, 2007, at the Dove House, Westminster, MD. She was the loving wife of William J. Gossage, Jr. to whom she was married over 49 years. Born in Woodbridge Melton, England on December 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Ann Maud Pearson Grayston. Mrs. Gossage had been employed for 20 years at the Woolworth Department Store in the Security Mall, Woodlawn, MD. She had attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. In addition to her husband, she will be sadly missed by her daughter, Theresa A. Gossage-Fowler and her husband Charles Chip, of Bel Air, MD, two sons Stephen M. Gossage and his wife Elizabeth L. of Westminster, MD, Mark A. Gossage and his wife Teresa L. of Pasadena, MD, 4 Grandchildren Julie C. Gossage, Stephen M. Gossage, Jr., Kristen D. Gossage, Mark A. Gossage, Jr., a sister Janice Smith of Woodbridge-Suffolk, England, and two nieces Clare Mowson, and Gail Swann of Bury St. Edmunds, Colchester, England. ViA Funeral Mass to remember and celebrate her life will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Rd., Hanover, PA 17331. Viewing will be at the church Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Rev. Joseph F. Gotwalt will serve as celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157-5629. Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA is assisting the family with arrangements.
