Treva P. Laughman Noel, 77, of Hanover, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at York Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Ervin M. Laughman and Margaret Plank Laughman Brown. She was the wife of nearly 30 years to the late William G. Noel, who died in 2005, and was also preceded in death by a brother, John Laughman; two step-sisters, Emma Luckenbaugh and Janet Strausbaugh; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Laughman; and an infant step-sister, Pearl Brown.
A hard worker for all of her life, she had been employed at Penland Paper and later Malcolm Spinning Mills. She loved Bingo, word search puzzles and cards. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a quick wit.
Survivors include three daughters, Tracey Krideler, Tuesday Brallier and Tammy Hoy and her husband, Kevin; two sons, Anthony Brallier and his wife, Peggy and Mark Noel and his wife Kandi; two step-children, William G. Noel, Jr. and his wife Vicky and Sue Ann Sprenkle; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, The Rev. Richard Laughman, Monroe, Alton and Dennis Laughman; a sister, Lois Gladfelter; two step-brothers, Harry and Earl “Sonny” Brown; and two step-sisters, Mary Utz and Nadine Good.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating. Burial will follow in Marburg Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
