Thomas E. "Pap" Long
Thomas E. “Pap” Long, 68, of Hanover, beloved husband of Charlotte Noel Long, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2016 at home with his family by his side.
Born on Friday, May 28, 1948 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Earl and Dorothy Wallet Long. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Long. Mr. Long was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School and was a longtime employee of Eisenhart Wallcoverings Company and later retired from York Wallcoverings. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two children, Lori L. Schneider and her husband, Jeff, of Hanover, and Michael J. Long and his wife, Deborah, of Gettysburg; a sister, Patricia Reichart of Hanover; four grandchildren, Amanda Henderson and Joseph Long , both of Phoenix, AZ, and Derek and Katie Schneider, both of Hanover; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 1 pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Rest Haven Cemetery with The Rev. Ryan M. Fischer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
