Thomas Donald Lamp, 63, of Hanover, went to his eternal fishing hole on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from his home following an unexpected decline in his health.
Born on Monday, July 25, 1955 in Baltimore City, MD, he was a son of Emma Crafton Lamp of MD and the late Donald J. Lamp. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Ruth Hepburn Crafton and his aunt and uncle, Catherine “Kitty” Crafton and Edward “Bud” Crafton. A 1973 graduate of Overlea High School and spent most of his career in maintenance at Hanover Hall. He enjoyed crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay with his uncle, Ron Crafton, and fishing at Prettyboy Reservoir. He became a Baltimore Colts fan with his dad and later continued the love for the Baltimore Ravens with his daughter, Alexis. He had an appreciation for classic cars and was skillful with his hands when it came to tinkering and fixing things. He also enjoyed family picnics with his many cousins and his aunt, Faith “Faye” Crafton Davis and playing cards every Friday night with his aunts, Mary Crafton and Karen Crafton Spence and his uncle Vince Mercurio.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters, Amanda Lamp Snyder and her husband, Kevin of Hampstead, MD, Megan Lamp and Alexis Lamp, both of Hanover; three grandchildren whom he adored, Kherington, Caleb and Camden; one sister, Amy Lamp and her husband, Roger Zajdel of Essex, MD; one brother, Matthew Lamp and his wife, Patty of Overlea, MD; two nieces, Kristen Zajdel and Cheyenne Lamp and two nephews, Joshua Zajdel and Ian Lamp.
Services will be held at a later date.
