Thelma D. Talley

Thelma D. ”Maude” Talley, 82, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Hanover Hall following a brief illness.



Born on January 20, 1928 in Butler, MD, she was the only daughter of the late John and Betty Patterson Naylor and wife of 35 years to the late John W. Talley, Jr., who died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Irving Naylor. She was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and enjoyed feeding the squirrels.



She is survived by her daughters, Linda Leaf of Salisbury, MD, Jackie Baloun of Washington, GA, Debi Steerman of GA, Mildred Shenberger of Westminster, MD, and Margaret Talley and Vickie Bealer, both of Hanover; her step-son, John W. Talley, III of Columbia, SC; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.



The funeral will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with Sister Deb McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s (Dubs) Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the viewing one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
