Thelma M. Meckley
Thelma M. Meckley, 93, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Friday, September 13, 2013 at Hanover Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Tuesday, September 7, 1920 in Manchester, MD, she was the daughter of the late Earl W. and Virgie S. Klinefelter Geisler, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Curtis H. Meckley, who died in 1994; and a brother, Theron A. Geisler. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Manchester, MD and was an avid gardener who loved to grow flowers.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda M. Trimmer and her husband, Jeffrey, of Hanover; two grandchildren, Stephanie Bentzel and her husband, Mark, and Douglas Trimmer and his wife, Jacqueline; and four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jessica and Kurt Bentzel and Jordan Trimmer.
The funeral service will be held privately at Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Church of Christ; 3229 York Street; Manchester, MD 21102.
