Thelma L. Hurley

Thelma Louise Hurley, 90, of Hanover, and formerly of Neavitt, MD and Easton, MD died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace in Hanover, PA.



Born in Baltimore on April 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late, Otto Mueller and Della Lee Hart Mueller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Hurley, Jr, who died November 22, 2009.



After graduating from Forest Park High School, she attended Blue Ridge College. During WWII, she was employed for Bendix Aviation. Mrs. Hurley moved to Easton from Neavitt in 2002. She was a member of the Neavitt United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star Highland Chapter # 33 in Dundalk, and the Miles River Sail and Power Squadron. She enjoyed duckpin bowling, gardening, boating, and fishing.



Mrs. Hurley is survived by her daughter, Marlee A. Dayhoof of Darlington, MD; two sons, Richard F. Hurley of New Freedom, PA and Michael W. Hurley of Woodbine, MD, and two grandsons, David C. Hurley and Kyle P. Hurley.



A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., 200 S. Harrison St. in Easton. Friends may call from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Saturday.



Burial will follow in Oxford Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Hurley to Lutheran Social Services at LSS Foundation, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., York, PA 17404 or Talbot Hospice Foundation, 586 Cynwood Dr., Easton, MD 21601.
