Services: The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 127 York Street, Hanover. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen R. Weaver, Sr., Allen R. Weaver, Jr., Mitchell A. Weaver, Charles Markle, Leon Deatrick and David Deatrick.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 pm on Friday, September 26, 2008 at Panebaker Funeral Home as well as one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Thelma Irene Deatrick Weaver, 77, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care on Monday, September 22, 2008 at the University of Maryland Medical Center.Born in Straban Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania on August 12, 1931, she was a daughter of the late O. Laurence Deatrick and Hazel A. Epley Deatrick. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Clyde E. Deatrick.Graduating from Gettysburg High School in 1949, she was a former employee of the Oaster Accounting Service and was a member of the Ladies Auxilary at Hanover Hospital, the Ladies Auxilary of the Hanover Elks, a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Hanover Chapter and the White Shrine. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (York St) where she formerly served on the church council.Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Richard A. Weaver of Hanover; her children, Laura K.W. Silver of Hanvoer and Allen R. Weaver and his wife, Susan of Lemoyne; five grandchildren, Allen R. Weaver, Jr, Mitchell A. Weaver and Natalie G. Weaver, all of Lemoyne and Rebecca R. Silver and Isaac W. Silver, both of Hanover.
