Terry Markle, 75, of Hanover, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at UPMC Hanover.
Born on Saturday, March 12, 1949 in New Oxford, he was a son of the late Fenton P. Markle and Thelma M. Kuhn Markle. He was also preceded in death by five siblings, Patricia, Paul, Burdett, David, and Timothy Markle. Terry retired from Conewago Enterprises and was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles - Aerie #1406, Amvets Post 22, VFW Post 2506, and the McSherrystown Home Association. He had an infectious laugh that would take over a room and enjoyed taking care of his beloved grand dogs.
Survivors include his loving companion of 20 years, Kat Shaffer; four children, Troy Markle and his wife, Mim, Diana Loveless, Andy Markle, and Amber Foreman; several grand children and great grandchildren; six siblings, Thomas (Joyce) Markle, Linda (Glenn) Sell, Sandra (Gregory) Franciscus, Richard Markle, Theresa Gregg, and Kenneth (Terri) Markle; his beloved dog, Chance; numerous nieces and nephews; and Kat’s son, J.T Fuller and his fiancé, Courtney Hanson and their child, Keira Fuller.
Per Terry’s wishes, no services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue organization of their choice in his name.
