Terry Ray Alwine, 77, of Hanover, beloved husband of Jane E. Cramer Alwine, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his home.
Born on Wednesday, December 10, 1947, he was the son of the late George R. and Imogene D. Roberts Alwine. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Alwine Byers; and a nephew, Michael Byers. A graduate of New Oxford High School, Terry was a former employee of Black and Decker and later retired from Sealed Air Corporation in Hanover. He was a member of the West Manheim Lions Club, Friends of Codorus, Hanover Eagles Aerie #1406, a lifetime member of the Pleasant Hill Fire Company, and a member of York County Firefighter’s Association. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing and camping.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 23 years, are two daughters, Kristin and Tina Alwine; one grandchild, Kaden Alwine; six step-children, Jamie Cramer and his wife, Michelle, Corey Myers and his wife, Audrey, Noah Myers and his wife, Jamie, Andrew Myers and his wife, Rachel, Ellen Miller and her husband, Brady, and Cody Myers and his wife, Krystal; 12 step-grandchildren, Noah Staub, Akira, Zane, Marleigh, Gracyn, Brewen, Holden and Wyatt Myers, Caden, Brylee, Brynleigh and Cohen Miller; four brothers, Glade Alwine and his wife, Vickie, Dennis Alwine, Scott Alwine and his wife, Susie, and Jerry Alwine; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Willow.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover with The Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
