Sue Bollinger Hoffman, 67, of Dover, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 with her family by her side at York Hospital following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on Wednesday, September 13, 1950 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Roy Bollinger, Jr. and Mary Golden Bollinger. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover.

A 1968 graduate of Hanover High School, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College and later received her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College. Sue was a former employee of York College and retired after more than 20 years of service as Director of Adult Education at the York County School of Technology. She enjoyed reading and traveling. As a loving daughter, sister and friend, she treasured spending time with her family and friends. Sue had a great affection for animals and was a devoted pet parent to her beloved Standard Poodles, William and Benjamin. She and Benjamin were certified through Keystone Pet Enhanced Therapy (KPETS).

Survivors include a sister, Janice Bollinger of Hanover; a brother, Roy Bollinger, III and his wife, Jill, of York; two aunts and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by two infant sisters.

A memorial service for Sue will be held at 11 am on June 9, 2018 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover with The Rev. Kate Schroeder officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the February Star Sanctuary, 3910 Ausherman Road, Knoxville, MD 21758.
