Steve Orr

Steve Orr, 68, of Glen Rock, husband of Nicole Orr, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Born on Wednesday, February 20, 1957 in Annapolis, Maryland, he was the son of Jay B. and Phyllis (Edelman) Orr. Steve graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis and was later a machinist & engineer contractor for different companies of the Department of Defense for many years. He also was a Pennsylvania State Constable, stationed in Stewartstown, for several years.

As a lifelong avid horseperson, Steve will be remembered for his love of horses and horseback riding. He was a former active member of the League of Maryland Horsemen, where he worked tirelessly to improve the campground facilities for all members and served in various capacities. He also was in Marine boot camp and was passionate about veteran and military causes. He was a member of the Jefferson Rifle Club, enjoyed riding motorcycles, woodworking and formerly served as a firearms instructor. He took great pleasure in hunting with his grandson, Alex, and granddaughter, Kristy. He truly loved the outdoors and enjoyed every moment that he could be out in nature. Steve also immensely enjoyed taking his granddaughters, Kristy and Sandra, for motorcycle rides.

In addition to Nicole, his wife of nearly 20 years, Steve is survived by three daughters, Kara Orr Rogers and her husband, Baron, Tracy White and her companion, Mark Dahmen, Michelle Walls and her husband, Steve; a son, Todd White and his wife, Jackie; grandchildren, Alex Walls and his wife, Kathleen, Kristy Storie and her husband, Dirk, Kimber Dudley, Destiny Wisniski and her husband, Justin, Claire and Lucy Rogers, Belle and Sandra Walls, Zoey, Brylee, Azariah and Asher White, and Autumn and Eve Dahmen; great-grandchildren, Tucker Storie & Mackenzie Walls, Tailynn, Adalind and Daniella Walls, and Analei and Navaeh Wisniski; a sister, Rebecca Orr Benner and her husband, William; three nieces, Kate Judge and her husband Tommy, Lauren Benner and her fiancé Wyatt, and Kristin Benner and her long time partner John Pikulski and their children, Kennedy Judge, and Max and Maisie Pikulski.

A private service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a veteran's association of the donor’s choosing.
