Stanley T. “Ted” Reiker, Jr., 61, of Hanover, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Hanover Hospital.
Born May 29, 1949 in York, he was a son of the late Stanley T. Reiker, Sr. and Pearl Kuntz Reiker. He was a graduate of Westminster High School and was a former manager for Hanover Shoe Co. Ted proudly served with the US Marine Corps and was a member of the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post # 14. He was a Civil War enthusiast who enjoyed cars, model railroads and listening to music.
Survivors include a son, Bryan Reiker and his wife, Michele, of McSherrystown; two daughters, Sara Reiker of York, and Laura Judy and her husband, Philip, of Lancaster; a brother, George Reiker and his wife, Veronica, of Hanover; a sister, Rosalind Brendle and her husband, Terry, of Hanover; two grandchildren; and his faithful companion, King.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
