Spencer Eugene Huff, 87, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his home.
Born on Thursday, October 18, 1934 in Littlestown, he was a son of the late Lawrence D. and Nellie Miller Huff. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, June E. Clapsaddle Huff, who died in 2018; four brothers, Lawrence,Jr. "Jim", Floyd, Larry, and Earl Huff; and three sisters, Janet Huff, June Harman and Marian Hockensmith. Spencer worked in road construction for 50 years for the former HJ Williams Company in York and later was employed by Valley Quarry in Chambersburg. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was a member of the Gettysburg VFW Post #15 and the Ira E. Lady American Legion Post # 262 in Biglerville. He was also a member of the Gettysburg Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1562 and enjoyed hunting in his younger years.
Survivors include two sons, Brian Eugene Huff, Timothy Charles Huff and his wife, Betsy; a daughter, Sherry Melo; numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Yingling; a brother, Paul Huff; and several nieces and nephews.
A private service is being planned.
