Services: A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 414 Main St., McSherrystown.
Visitation: Visitation will be at the church Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Shirley A. Willet, 72, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 6:32 a.m. Monday morning, May 21, 2007 at The Brethren Home Community, New Oxford. She was the wife of Donald P. Willet to whom she was married over 50 years. Born in East Berlin on September 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Levere and Ann Crumwell Burgard. Mrs. Willet retired as a Buyer for Caterpillar in York after 35 years of service. An active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, McSherrystown, Mrs. Willet had served as Council President for seven years. She was also a member of the Caterpillar Retirement Club and the Order of Eastern Star in New Oxford serving as Worthy Matron in 1960. Mrs. Willet graduated from East Berlin HIgh School with the class of 1954. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Steven D. Willet and wife Holly of Spring Grove, 3 grandsons Eric, Josh, and Todd Willet, also two step daughters Laura and Amber Walter. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 414 Main St., McSherrystown. Visitation will be at the church Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Richard C. Weaver will officiate. Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 414 Main St., McSherrystown, PA 17344
