Shirley I. Wheeler

Shirley Wheeler, 83, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Genesis Gettysburg Center.

Born on Friday, August 15, 1941 in Lewisberry, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Edward Yorty and Alma Elizabeth Bricker Yorty. She was also preceded in death by her longtime love of 22 years, Charles Wheeler, who passed away in 2008; a son, Randy Kellison; a step-son, Roy Kellison; three brothers, Clarence, Wilbur and Marlon Yorty; a step-sister, Maude Millhouse; and Shirley’s beloved cat, Booty. Shirley retired from Hanover Hall after more than 20 years of service. She loved all types of flowers as well as going to yard sales and auctions.

Surviving are three sons, Mike Kellison and his wife, Michele, of Oklahoma City, OK, and James and David Kellison, both of Hanover; and three granddaughters, Sharon, Shirley and Stacy.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. Paul’s (Dubs) Church Cemetery, 1958 Dubs Church Road in Hanover.
