Shirley M. Neiderer, 88, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.
Born on Friday, June 3, 1932, in Hanover, she was a daughter of Burtis D. Dubbs and Henrietta Stahl Dubbs Reichart. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Donald J. Neiderer, who died in 2016; and a brother, Burtis D. Dubbs, Jr. Shirley was a 1950 graduate of Eichelberger High School and was employed as a secretary at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover High School and later retired from Hanover Middle School. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, and enjoyed playing bridge and watching Penn State football, Duke University basketball and her grandchildren’s sports activities. Shirley loved to travel abroad, especially the Holy Land.
Survivors include five children, James A. Neiderer and his wife, Ruth, Daniel K. Neiderer, all of Hanover, Andrew M. Neiderer and his wife, Mary, of Ellicott City, MD, Timothy J. Neiderer, and Donna Jo Neiderer, both of Hanover; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Brown and her husband, Ian, Heather Bair and her husband, Scott, David R. Neiderer and his wife, Jess, Karen A. Brandenburger and her husband, Rich, Theresa Borne and her husband, Sean, Jacob M. Neiderer, Benjamin K. Neiderer, Bryan J. Neiderer, Lauren A. Neiderer, and Cole and Beau Gebhart; and eleven great-grandchildren, Evan Brown, Bryce and Bair, Jacob, Grace, Benjamin and Sam Neiderer, Lucas Brandenburger, Emma Borne, and Liana and Caiden Neiderer.
A private service was held.
