Shirley M. Miller

Shirley Marie Miller, 92, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024. She spent her final days and hours with her beloved family by her side.

Born on July 21, 1932 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Herman Daniel Miller and Bessie Irene Laughman Miller. Shirley was a secretary for the Hanover Middle School for 20 years, retiring in 1994.

Shirley’s greatest accomplishment in life would be her family. The love she had for her family was abundantly clear to all who knew her, and she would light up with joy in their presence.

Among the survivors is a granddaughter, Brittany L. Swartz and her devoted partner, Bryan Aleshire; and three great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Breeze, Kiyana Belle, and Kalvin James; and a brother, Robert Miller and his wife, Suzanne. She is also survived by a son and grandson who wish to be unnamed. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a son, James Thomas Swartz.

As per her wishes, no service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be planned in 2025 to honor her beautiful life.
