Visitation: Viewings will be Wednesday evening from 7pm to 9pm at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover and from 10am to 11am Thursday at the church.
Shelvegeane Y. Hoy, 69, of Spring Grove died 3:30pm, Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Gettysburg Center, Gettysburg. She was the wife of Douglas E. Hoy to whom she had been married for 47 years. Born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia on February 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Dodson and the adopted daughter of the late Allen Becker. Her mother Theadosia (Crawford)Dodson Becker Lukas of Glen Burnie, MD survives her. A Service of Celebration and Remembrance will be held 11am Thursday at Harvest Time Temple, 700 Black Rock Road, Hanover. Viewings will be Wednesday evening from 7pm to 9pm at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover and from 10am to 11am Thursday at the church. Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Fred Mummert. In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Hoy is survived by her children Richard M. Hoy husband of Lynn of Manchester MD, Clyde C. Hoy of Greencastle, PA, Thea E. Hennigan wife of Carl of Benton, LA, and Kevin E. Hoy Sr. husband of Tammy of Hanover, PA. She was a special Mom-Mom to Jennifer, Amy, K.J., Chad, Ryan, and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Clyde A. Becker of PA, and three sisters Joyce Ball of Georgia, Pamela Dragas of Maryland and Linda Rivera of Massachusetts.
