Shaun Harrison Fuhrman, age 58, passed from this life to the next on June 11, 2023 in Sterling City, TX from complications of COPD and failing health for the last year.
Born on July 24, 1964 in Hanover, he was the son of James “Whitey” and Frances “Fran” Cullison Fuhrman of Spring Grove, PA. He was a carpenter and home builder adept at all phases of construction. Shaun lived in West Texas for the last 18 years and enjoyed the simple small town life he found there. Shaun loved the town and the town loved him. He was a believer in Christ and tried to follow his teachings in his everyday life. Shaun was very creative and supplied his house energy with a combination of wind, solar, and battery.
In addition to his parents, Shaun is survived by two sisters, Traci Burke and her husband, Chris in Oviedo, FL, Bridy Crawford, of Mt. Joy, four nieces and nephews, Kelly Burke Newton, Clay Burke, and twins Irene and Finn Crawford; and aunts and uncle Sally Zartman, Billie Ann Guise, Jeanne Firmani, and Dennis Cullison. He was preceded in death by his former wife Carole Baughman Preston, companion Denise Turner, Uncle Stephen Cullison, Aunt Rosemary Little, Brother in law Michael Crawford, maternal grandparents William and Ruth Myers Cullison, and paternal grandparents Arnold and Irene Musselman Fuhrman.
Shaun will be interred at Rest Haven Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
His parents would like to thank all of his friends in Sterling City who helped him during this period, especially those who were with him at the end, Melissa and Richard Biddle, Tiny, and Ray.
