Sandra L. "Sandy" Runk

Sandra L. “Sandy” Runk, 67, of McSherrystown, beloved wife of Ronald W. Runk, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her home.

Born on Saturday, December 7, 1957 in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Sarah Leah (Sipling) Rexroth. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Louise Runk; and two brothers, Walter and Butch Rexroth. Sandy enjoyed getting lottery tickets, watching murder mysteries and soccer matches, and going to yard sales. Above all, she was dedicated to her family, especially caring for her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, Sandy is survived by two daughters, Amy and Lisa Runk; nine grandchildren, Natasha (Joshua), Sami, Bria (Cody), Amanda, Bubba, Brooke, Thomas, Brandon and Brady; five great-grandchildren, Jason, Mason, Rose, Mileena and Clover; a sister, Linda Cool; a brother, Jimmy (Judy) Rexroth; Tina’s, companion, Bill Rhoten; a dear family friend, Dan Hoke; and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held.
