Ruth Louise Hall

Ruth Louise (“Udie”) Hall, 97,of Rockleigh, NJ, formerly of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in her home where she resided with her daughter Susan and son-in-law Rich. She was born on September 12, 1922, in Hanover, PA. Udie was a very caring person, and loved her family. She lived in New York City most of her life where she enjoyed the ballet, theater and having lunch or shopping with her daughter. Her home was always open to family and friends who visited often. This brought her much pleasure.

Udie was the daughter of Carroll David and Elsie (Knipple) Erb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar V. Hall; a sister Mary Elizabeth Koehler; and her brother Robert Carroll Erb. She is survived by her daughter Susan L. Rosenberg and son-in-law Richard N. Rosenberg of Rockleigh, NJ; a niece Caryl Lynn MacGregor of Newport News, VA; and nephews James Robert Erb of Magnolia, DE, and Wayne Koehler of Stephenson, VA.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 am at Rest Haven Cemetery, Westminster Road, Hanover with The Rev. Robert Moore, from St. Mathew Lutheran Church, officiating.
