Russell grew up on a farm near Eldersburg, Maryland and came to Hanover in 1961. He worked for Hanover Bronze and Aluminum on Frederick Street, Hanover, and was also known as the “bread man” at Weis Markets on Carlisle Street, Hanover until his retirement on his birthday in 2013.

Russell was the loving companion of Millie and the two could be seen pulling a yellow wagon with their mower up Keagy Avenue to maintain their church lawn and flower beds over the last 20 years. Russell will be missed by all his family and all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend thank you’s to the Hanover Hospital and Hanover Hall staff for their care of Russell the last two weeks.
