Rosie G. Stratigos, 81, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 5:25 P.M. Wednesday evening, April 23, 2008, at Hanover Hall. Born in Hanover on February 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George K. and Chryse Coutris Stratigos. Rosie had been employed in the Housekeeping Department of Hanover Hospital for 15 years until her retirement in 1988. She enjoyed playing cards with her sister and traveling. Rosie was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, York. She will be sadly missed her sister Mary and husband Leon Lawrence of McSherrystown, nephew Steven N. and wife Sharon Lawrence of New Oxford, also two great nephews Nicholas and Alex Lawrence. Rosie was preceded in death by a sister Gladys G. Stratigos and a brother Steven Straigos. A funeral service to remember and celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Viewing will be Monday at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. The Rev. Father Andrew Tsikitas will officiate.
