Rosemarie R. Dayhoff, 72, of York, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Magnolias of Lancaster.
Born on Saturday, March 29, 1941 in York, she was a daughter of the late Theodore J. and Mary E. Hammschmidt Unger. She was a 1959 graduate of York Catholic High School and retired in 1996 from Reliable Office Products.
Ms. Dayhoff attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in York. She enjoyed flowers, music and dancing, playing cards and dominoes, and spending time with her children. She had a particular fondness for animals, especially her dogs.
Survivors include four children, Samuel E. Dayhoff, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Seven Valleys, Denise R. Dayhoff of Dover, Thomas J. Dayhoff of Lititz, and Rosemarie E. Figdore of Red Lion; a sister, Mary D. Fabie of Red Lion; and a grandson, Samuel E. Dayhoff, III of Seven Valleys.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 220 Third Street, Hanover with The Rev. John D. Schmalhofer serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
