Ronald E. Strausbaugh

Ronald E. Strausbaugh, 73, of New Oxford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.

Born on Thursday, May 31, 1951 in York, he was the son of the late Robert N. and Dorothy Altland Strausbaugh. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Nancy R. Strausbaugh, who died in 2017. Ronald was employed by Bon Ton Foods and G&S Foods for 20 years at each company. He enjoyed hunting and watching WWE wrestling.

Survivors include three children, Kelly Matthias and her husband, Dan, of Hanover, Angela Topper and her husband, Bob, of Fort Huachuca, AZ, and Darrick Strausbaugh and his wife, Brandy, of New Oxford; and seven grandchildren, Mason, Layla and Seth Topper, Kelsionna, Tyler and Zachary Matthias, and Zander Shultz.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway in Hanover. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Silver Run, MD.
