Romaine E. Wolfe
Romaine E. Wolfe, 100, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village following a lengthy illness.
Born on October 7, 1910 in Marburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Austy Zumbrum Rohrbaugh and wife of 59 years to the late Charles Wolfe, who died in 1999. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Chad C. Wolfe; two brothers, Charles and Clark Rohrbaugh and four sisters, Nellie Cramer, Ruth Jensen, Ada Benner and Amy Wise.
She was a member of St. Paul’s (Dubs) Lutheran Church and had a love for the mountains and her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Hershey; two sons, Donald Wolfe and his wife, Beverly and Gary Wolfe and his wife, Linda, all of Hanover; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, John and Timothy Hershey, Steve Wolfe, Amy Lehigh and Brent and Marin Wolfe; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Marburg Memorial Gardens with The Rev. Craig A. Lantz officiating. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
