Rodney L. Klinedinst, 58, of Hanover, loving husband of Debra Altland Klinedinst, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, April 28, 2014 at his home.
Born on Friday, September 23, 1955 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Stewart R. and Miriam Luckenbaugh Klinedinst. He was a 1973 graduate of Hanover High School and was a longtime employee of Hadco Lighting in Littlestown.
Rodney was a member of St. David’s Lutheran Church, the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post #14 and the Legion Riders and had served as a Past Commander of the Sons of the American Legion. He was also a member of the AmVets Post #22, McSherrystown Home Association, Hanover Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 227, Hanover Eagles Aerie #1406, and was a former member of the Lancers Drum and Bugle Corps. He enjoyed studying history, riding motorcycles, but most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 39 years, are two sons, Chad E. Klinedinst and his wife, Amber, and Todd M. Klinedinst, all of Hanover; six grandchildren, Hayden, Bria, Noah, Kaine, Aida, and Sophia Klinedinst; his mother-in-law, Agnes R. Altland of East Berlin; a brother-in-law, Dennis Altland and his wife, Brenda, of Hanover; two sisters-in-law, Marianne Little and her husband, Mike, of Hanover and Wendy Bankert and her husband, Ted, of East Berlin; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Thursday, May 1, 2014 at St. David’s Lutheran Church with The Rev. Ladonna E. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s (Dubs) Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover and at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am Thursday.
