Robert L. "Rab" Williams
Robert L. “Rab” Williams, 84, of Hanover, loving husband of Peggy A. Williams, entered into God’s eternal care Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Hanover Hospital.
Born on Tuesday, January 7, 1930 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Stuart and Bessie Weaver Williams. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, Charles and Richard Williams; two sisters, Betty Guanti and Dorothy Stover; and a grandson, Brent Williams.
Mr. Williams was the owner and operator of Williams Septic Service for 65 years and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Broadway, Hanover. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 66 years are his two sons, Robert Williams, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, and Thomas Williams and his wife, Linda, all of Hanover; three granddaughters, Julie Williams of Lancaster, Jennifer McCusker of Seven Valleys and Kathy Chittum of Martinsburg, WV; and two great-grandchildren, Collin and Vanessa McCusker.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. Burial will be held privately at Rest Haven Cemetery.
In addition to other memorials, contributions may be made to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17402.
