Robert E. Martin, 63, of McSherrystown, entered into God’s eternal care Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home.
Born December 31, 1946 in Beckley, WV, he was a son of the late Robert L. Martin and Beulah Davidson Martin Caldwell. Mr. Martin was an employee of Knouse Foods in Biglerville, where he had worked for the last 15 years. He enjoyed playing solitaire, doing word puzzles, and watching Western movies.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Patricia; his children, Robert Martin, Jr. of Arnett, WV, Elizabeth Smith of Westminster, MD, Christina Frey and her husband, Spc. Ronald Frey, of Spring Lake, NC, Amanda Martin and her fiancé, Rich, of Westminster, MD, and Lindsay Martin of McSherrystown; a brother, Douglas Martin and his wife, Sandy, of Manchester, MD; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emilee, Mykenzie, Mallorie, Esabelle, and Melody; an uncle, William Davidson of Westminster, MD; his mother-in-law, Delores Weaver of Hanover; and his sister-in-law, Becky Brewer and her husband, Dean, of Manchester, MD.
The funeral will be held at 1:00PM Monday, May 10, 2010 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. David Scafide officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Baptist Church Cemetery, Manchester, MD. The viewing will be from 6-8:00 PM Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the funeral home.
