Robert W. Linebaugh
Robert Wilson Linebaugh, 72, of Abbottstown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Hanover Hospital.
Born on Wednesday, November 7, 1945 in East Berlin, he was a son of Ruth Linebaugh of Abbottstown and the late Wilson S. Linebaugh. He retired after 40 years of service from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Abbottstown. An avid outdoorsman, Robert enjoyed hunting and watching his grandchildren’s activities in their 4-H Clubs.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Rose M. Linebaugh; two children, Shane R. Linebaugh and his wife, Stacey, of York Springs and Amy L. Dull of Finksburg, MD; four grandchildren, Amy Linebaugh of Myrtle Creek, OR, Colby Dull of Westminster, MD, Megan Linebaugh of Biglerville and Avery Dull of Westminster, MD; a brother, Jimmie Allen Linebaugh; and a sister, Rebecca Young and her husband, Steven, all of Abbottstown.
A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 Water Street, Abbottstown, PA 17301.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church, 100 Water Street, Abbottstown, PA 17301.
