Services: The funeral will be held at 4 pm on Friday at Panebaker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joel Everhart officiating. Military honors will be provided by a US Air Force ceremonial detachment.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Robert “Bob” Louis Kelley, 56, of Hanover, entered into God’s care on Monday, August 25, 2008 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.Born on October 23, 1951 in Sinton, Texas, he was a son of Edward Kelley, Jr. and Georgia Nell Knesek Kelley of Robstown, TX. Having lived in Hanover for the past two years, he had also lived all over the world, his favorite place being Harroget, North Yorkshire, England. He retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years and earned his master’s degree in computer science. He went on to work for the Department of Defense. He was a devout Christian, worshipping at New Life Assembly of God in East Berlin and was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother Knesek.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of almost 35 years, Linda; his children, Cynthia Monaco and her husband Francis of Martinez, GA, Melissa Matthews and her husband Jon of Baltimore, MD, Anita Newhouse and her husband Douglas of Myerstown, PA, Rachel Kelley of Ft Stewart, GA, Nathaniel Kelley and his wife Ray Ray of Hanover and Abigail Kelley of Hanover; three grandchildren, Carlos and Katelyn Newhouse and Wade Monaco; three sisters, Joanne Darden, Susan Brubaker and Barbara Jean Belcher; a brother Charles E. Kelley and many nieces and nephews.
