Robert C. Hoff Sr.

Robert C. Hoff, Sr., 71, of Abbottstown, beloved husband of Linda L. (Hopkins) Hoff, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at UPMC West Shore Hospital with his family by his side.

Born on Friday, August 11, 1950 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Robert S. and Geraldine Cassatts Hoff. Robert was a retired employee of Voith Hydro, Inc. of York and was a member of Mount Carmel Lutheran Church, Hanover Fraternal Order of Eagles - Aerie #1406, Hanover Loyal Order of Moose #227, Hanover VFW Post 2506, and the IAMAW Machinist Union. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and his favorite dog, Lucy.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 46 years are two children, Scott A. Ruth and his wife, Melissa, and Robert C. Hoff, Jr. and his companion, Cara Morgan; two grandchildren, Renee Robertson and her husband, Derek, and Bethany Ruth; and two great grandchildren, Amelia and Ellie Robertson.

A funeral will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 11 AM at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway in Hanover with the Rev. Shawn M. Berkebile officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 9-11 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
