Robert G. “Bob” Gosnell, 68, of Abbottstown, peacefully entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, October 7, 2022 at his home.

Born on Sunday, July 11, 1954 in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Robert Edward Gosnell and Joan Helen Tenette Gosnell. A 1972 graduate of Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School in Baltimore, he retired in 2020, after 40 years of service as a painter, having worked for Ibex Painting and TW Doyle Painting. Bob had attended Pipe Creek Friends Meeting in Union Bridge and will be receiving his Infinity Chip from Narcotics Anonymous, where he had been a member since 1990. He will be long remembered as a loving brother, step-dad and proud “Pappy”.

Survivors include his wife, friend and lover, Evelyn Holcomb Gosnell; a sister, Judy Worrell of Westminster, MD; a brother, Bill Gosnell and his husband, Randy Cornish, of Towson, MD; a step-son, Russell Mossburg, Jr.; two step-daughters, Lena Mabe and her husband, Ryan, and Rebecca Mossburg; grandchildren, Hannah, Josiah, Sarah and Kaylee; nephews, Justin Worrell and his wife, Amanda, Austin, Shawn, Everett, Kalyn and their families; brothers-in-law, Michael Frederick and his wife, Cricket, and Clayton Frederick and his wife, Lechia; and his beloved Macaw, Nick Gosnell.

A private service will be held at a later date.
