Robert E. "Bob" Kuhn

Robert E. “Bob” Kuhn, 71, of York, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Kingston Court Nursing and Rehabilitation in York.

Born on Wednesday, July 9, 1952 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Richard K. and Catherine M. Dickensheets Kuhn. Bob was a devoted and loving caregiver to his wife of 35 years, Gail R. Kuhn, who died in 2017. A graduate of the former York County Area Vocational Technical School, he retired from the former PH Glatfelter after more than 30 years of service. Bob was a member of St. David’s United Church of Christ. An avid sports fan, he always frequented his son’s sporting events, and was a supporter of South Western and York High School athletics. In his spare time, Bob could be seen at the South Hills Golf Club where he would play and serve as a caddy from time to time. He enjoyed cooking, cleaning around the house; but mostly he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, Andrew R. “Andy” Kuhn and his wife, Katie, of York; three grandchildren, Addison Grace Kuhn, Jackson Brian Kuhn and Jamison Robert Kuhn; and his brother, David R. Kuhn and his wife Bonnie and their sons, Bryan and Allen.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 16, 2024 at St. David’s United Church of Christ with The Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends at viewings to be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
