Richard B. Hamme, 77, husband of Diana M. Korman Hamme of Abbottstown, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Hanover Hospital.
Born in East Berlin, he was a son of the late Henry Alva and Eda Julia Shue Hamme. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas Fritz and his brothers, Russell, David and Dwain Hamme and Sterling Bixler.
Richard worked for Kennie’s Market as a meat cutter. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, bird watching and working in his garden. He was always a “happy go lucky” kind of guy, who loved life in general.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 33 years, is his daughters, Debra Hubbard and Wendi Blevins, both of Finksburg, MD; sons, John Reall, of Glyndon, MD, and Herbert Reall, Jr., of Butler, TN; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Franklin Hamme, of Petersburg, WV, and Henry A. Hamme, III, of Hanover.
Services will be private.
