Services: A memorial service to remember and celebrate Dick's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning in the Chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore St., Hanover.

Richard E. Dick Hartlaub, 73, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 4:30 A.M. Tuesday morning, October 9, 2007 at his home. He was the loving husband of Gini Raimer Hartlaub to whom he was married over 48 years. Born in Hanover on January 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Bernadine E. Hershey Hartlaub. Mr. Hartlaub had been employed for many years as a Spray Painter for Cole Steel and York International before retiring from the maintenance dept of the York Towne House, York. He served his country as an Air Force Private during the Korean Conflict. His memberships included Hanover Amvets Post #22, Hanover American Legion Post #14, Hanover Republican Club and the McSherrystown Home Association. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Rich Hartlaub and wife Kim of Monument, CO, a daughter Anne K. Jessee and husband Tim of Glenville, four grandchildren Christine A. Jessee, Danielle N. Jessee, Emily R. Hartlaub, Mark Hartlaub, a brother James Michael Hartlaub of Spring Grove, 3 sisters Peggy J. Hartlaub of Hanover, Sandra Lee Hartlaub of Hanover, Patsy A. Hartlaub of South Mountain, nieces, nephews and close friends Dick and Bernie Livingston, Sam and Jane Sneeringer, and Don and Rose Marie Bollinger. He was preceded in death by three brothers Thomas, J., Jack G. and Gary G. Hartlaub. A memorial service to remember and celebrate Dick's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning in the Chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore St., Hanover. There will be no viewing. His brother-in-law The Rev. David Slautterback will officiate. Military honors will be provided at graveside by the Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Aseracare Hospice, 44 Bowman Road, York, PA 17404.
