Rhondda Lea Kovacs, 75, of Littlestown, beloved wife of George F. Kovacs, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Wellspan Gettysburg Hospital.
Born on Tuesday, May 31, 1949 in Cleveland, OH, she was a daughter of the late John Jenkins Morgan and Helen Dockrey Morgan. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Edward Morgan; and a sister, Sis Beighley. Rhondda was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Taneytown, MD and loved her hometown teams- The Pittsburgh Steelers and The Pittsburgh Pirates. She enjoyed bingo and cooking for her family.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 53 years, are two sons, Peter Kovacs and his wife, Brenda, and Matthew Kovacs; two grandchildren, Samantha and Morgan; four siblings, Susan Snyder and her husband, Ed, Beverly Hann and her husband, Daniel, Patricia Karzai, and David Morgan and his wife, Mae; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Church, 29 South Queen Street, Littlestown with the Rev. C. Anthony Miller officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Cemetery Northside, 204 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A celebration of life will take place at Crafton VFD 8 Stotz Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 following the burial.
