Renna M. Weaver

Renna Myers Weaver, 89, of Carlisle formerly of York, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Thornwald Home in Carlisle.

Born on Thursday, August 9, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel and Ruth Metzger Myers. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Albert Weaver, who died in 1993; a son, Ronald R. Weaver, who died in 1996; and a sister, Mary Kathryn Myers.

A 1946 graduate of the former East Berlin High School, she was employed at A.B. Farquhar Co., The Printed Image and later as an Administrative Assistant for Lutheran Social Services in York for 22 years before her retirement. She was a life member of Paradise Lutheran Church in Thomasville where she had served on Church Council.

Renna is survived by a daughter-in-law, Carol Weaver of Carlisle; a grandson, Christopher Weaver and his wife, Sharon, of Papillion, NE; a granddaughter, Kimberly Murray and her husband, John of Carlisle; and two great-grandchildren, Allen and Emily Weaver, both of Papillion.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Monday, October 23, 2017 at Paradise Lutheran Church with The Rev. Douglas Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
