Ray A. “Pastor Ray” Kinard, 76, of Hanover, loving husband of Nancy L. Day Kinard, went into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born on Wednesday, September 10, 1941 in Craley, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Kinard. Ray was employed by Robert A. Kinsley Construction for 33 years before starting God is Love Ministries where he was an outreach minister for more than 20 years. He was also the owner and operator of Kinard’s Vacuum Sales and Service, retiring in 2015. He taught Bible school at Pleasant Ridge Camp in Western Pennsylvania. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to McDonalds for a McDouble and sweet tea.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 35 years, are four children, William E. Yingling, Jr. and his wife, Pam, Joseph W. Yingling and his companion, Melissa Whatley, all of Hanover, Heidi S. Smith and her husband, Phil, of Spring Grove, and Shantel Reinbold and her husband, Paul, of Hanover; nine grandchildren, Hannah Marie Yingling, Eric Sanders, Erica Billstein, Justin and Cody Yingling, Avery and Liliana Garcia, Megan Smith and Brooke Yingling; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with Pastor Billy Stitely officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
