Randy A. Markle

Randy A. Markle, 52, of Gettysburg, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, February 13, 2012, surrounded by his family at Genesis Healthcare of Gettysburg following a brief illness.



Born April 28, 1959, he was a son of Donald H. and Betty E. Noel Markle of Hanover. He was a 1977 graduate of South Western High School and was employed by C.H. Reed of Hanover for nearly 30 years. He loved researching his family genealogy, collecting coins and trains and fixing anything that needed it. Above all, he loved his family.



Survivors include a daughter, Brandi L. Tedder and her husband, Jamie; a son, Barry E. Markle and his wife, Becky; four grandchildren, Madalyn and Brody Markle and Kylie and Connor Tedder, all of Hanover; two brothers, Terry L. Markle and his wife, Dorothy of York and Roger W. Markle and his wife, Novella of New Oxford; an uncle, Carol Noel and his wife, Cathy, formerly of Abbottstown; an aunt, Rosalie Noel Blouse of Hanover; a nephew, Robert Markle; a niece, Robin Rudacille and her husband, Gary; and a great-niece, Brittany Spagnolia, all of York. He is also survived by his loving partner of 15 years, Lisa Fendelander and her son, Josh Fendelander of Gettysburg.



The funeral will be held at 10 am Friday, February 17, 2012 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Fred Mummert officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery with Barry, Terry and Robert Markle, Scott Brady, Jamie Tedder and Josh Fendelander serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends and share memories at a viewing from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc.
