Services: A service to remember and celebrate his life will be held at 3:00PM Saturday at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA.
Visitation: A viewing and time to greet the family will be from 2:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Ralph C. Chamberlain, 69, formerly of Sykesville, MD more recently of Hanover, died Wednesday afternoon, April 23, 2008 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center. He was the loving husband of Karin Gerland Chamberlain to whom he had been married over 42 years. Born on October 9, 1938 in Rock Glen, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Eva (Lynn) Chamberlain. Following his graduation from Tamaqua High School, Tamaqua, PA in 1956, Mr. Chamberlain enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country with pride and honor for a total of 6 years. Once again stateside in 1965, he started a career with the Westinghouse Company for 27 years. A service to remember and celebrate his life will be held at 3:00PM Saturday at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to greet the family will be from 2:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Kenneth Heasley. Burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Sykesville, MD at the convenience of the family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Gary Chamberlain and wife Lynn of Eldersburg, MD; a sister Marge Petrovich of Baltimore, MD and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Zeisolft and a brother Raymond Chamberlain. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17362.
