Pius O. Hess Jr.

Pius O. Hess, Jr., 67, of New Oxford, beloved husband of Christine Hayes Hess, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at UPMC Hanover Hospital.

Born on Monday, September 5, 1955 in Gettysburg, he was the son of Rose Marie Rosensteel Hess of Gettysburg and the late Pius O. Hess, Sr. Pius retired from Hadco in Littlestown after 25 years of service and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed working around his home, playing practical jokes, beautiful Chevys and laughing, but above all he loved being with his family. Pius will be forever loved and missed.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Barbie Marks and her husband, Shawn; two grandsons, Dreyton and Deagan Marks, all of New Oxford; three sisters, Jean Taylor and her husband, Gary, of Gettysburg, Lisa Wonder and her husband, Roger, and Sherry Youngbar and her husband, Ken, all of New Oxford; two nephews, Toby Taylor and Connor Youngbar; and two nieces, Tammy Taylor and Nikki Wonder.

A private service is planned.
