Services: A service of remembrance will be held 11:00AM Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1214 Broadway, Hanover, PA. Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. David L. DeLong.
Visitation: A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA and also on Friday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church.
Phyllis M. Therit, 76, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care Tuesday morning, June 17, 2008 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late William M.Therit Sr. who died April 8, 1989. Born in Hanover on October 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Fern and Ruth Cromer Brown. Mrs. Therit was a member of the Class of 1949 of Eichelberger High School. Before retiring in 2006, she had been an Administrative Assistant for the Therit family business,Nationwide Insurance,for 27 years. She had been an active and dedicated member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1214 Broadway, Hanover. Mrs. Therit was a loving mother to William M. Therit Jr. and his wife Shari, Steven A. Therit and his companion Judy Mummert all of Hanover, Debra A. Scheffenacker and her husband David of Baltimore, and Tracey A. Therit of Washington, DC. She was a special Nana to Meghan Therit of Arlington, VA, Whitney Therit, and Hilary Therit of Hanover and Jessica Scheffenacker of Baltimore all of whom she was so very proud. She is also survived by her brothers Gary Brown of Hanover, James Brown of Plain, PA and a sister Carol Moffitt of Hanover.
